Our investment and management team combines decades of experience across private equity, infrastructure finance, sustainable real estate, and climate technology. We are a relatively compact team by design: every senior professional is directly involved in deal origination, due diligence, and portfolio management. This hands-on model ensures accountability and keeps our relationships with founders and co-investors personal.

  • Mathieu Lorenceau

    Managing Partner & Co-Founder

    Mathieu spent fifteen years in regional private equity at two European mid-market firms before co-founding ÉPOPÉE GESTION. He leads the firm's overall investment strategy and chairs the Investment Committee, with a particular focus on industrial and technology transactions in western and central Europe.

  • Isabelle Fontanet

    Partner – Sustainable Real Estate

    Isabelle brings over eighteen years of experience in green building finance and property asset management. She oversees ÉPOPÉE GESTION's real estate portfolio, managing acquisitions, development oversight, and asset disposals, with a strong track record in energy-efficient retrofits and low-carbon new builds.

  • Clément Aubergé

    Partner – Infrastructure & Energy Transition

    Clément has structured and closed infrastructure transactions across renewable energy, digital networks, and water treatment in eight European countries. At ÉPOPÉE GESTION he leads the infrastructure strategy, from origination through to long-term asset management and investor reporting.

  • Sara Mälkinen

    Investment Director – Climate & Innovation

    Sara joined from a Nordic deep-tech venture fund, where she led investments in climate technology, industrial biotech, and advanced materials. At ÉPOPÉE GESTION she manages the climate and innovation portfolio, working closely with founders from first meeting through to commercialisation milestones.

  • Gilles Trantoul

    Chief Financial Officer

    Gilles is responsible for fund administration, investor reporting, treasury management, and regulatory compliance across all ÉPOPÉE GESTION vehicles. He previously held senior finance roles at two regulated asset management firms and holds professional qualifications in fund accounting and financial risk management.
